Orders

How can I place an order?

Thank you in advance for your order! Orders can be placed by creating an online account or simply checking out as a guest. We accept all major credit cards, as well as Amazon Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay and Shop Pay. Shop Pay may ask to send a code but you can bypass that and checkout manually by clicking away from that popup. You can also call us anytime to ask questions about an order or place your order online. We’re here to take your calls from 9am to 5pm pacific time at 310-900-0726.

Can I cancel or make changes to an order I’ve already placed?

As long as your order has not shipped, we would be happy to make changes or cancel your order. You can reach us by emailing at support@thecatspjs.com, clicking the chat button on our website or calling us at 310-900-0726.

What do I do if I've received the wrong item?

We are very sorry about that. We scan all of our orders for accuracy but sometimes we make an error in shipping. Mistakes happen. Just email (support@thecatspjs.com) or call us (310-900-0726) and we will ship you out the correct item with a return pouch to send us back the wrong one.

What do I do if I am missing an item?

What can I do if my order is going to the wrong address?

As long as your order has not shipped, we would be happy to change the shipping address. You can reach us by emailing at support@thecatspjs.com, clicking the chat button on our website or calling us at 310-900-0726.

Do you offer discounts for bridal parties or other groups?

Congratulations! We love our brides-to-be 😀. Feel free to reach out and we can discuss options for your bridal party or other special occasion. You can contact us at support@thecatspjs.com.

Gifting

How can I get a gift receipt?

All of our orders ship with a gift receipt only. We never put any pricing information on the packing slip. We do, however, include the name of the person who placed the order.

Do you offer gift boxes?

We offer gift boxes for $10. These charming magnetic gift boxes and hand-written gift notes are the perfect complement for the pajamas you are gifting. The best way to add a gift box is in the product detail page just above the add to cart button. After selecting the size and adding the gift box, you will see a drop down to enter your personalized message.

Can I add multiple gift boxes and gift notes in one order?

Yes, if you add the gift box and notes in the product detail page they will be associated with that product. Feel free to add as many items/boxes and customized notes as you would like as long as they are all shipping to the same address.

Can I add a gift note to my order if I don’t purchase a gift box?

Yes, to add a gift note, simply email us at support@thecatspjs.com and we would be happy to include a gift note for you.

Can I add multiple gift boxes and gift notes to my order?

Yes, you can add as many gift boxes as items purchased. The best way to do this is to add them at the product detail page so we can match the gift notes with the appropriate gifts.

Can my gift recipient exchange the item if it doesn’t fit?

Everything you buy from The Cat’s Pajamas is exchangeable. Gifts can be exchanged without the purchaser of the gift being notified. Click the RETURNS button and select “Returning a gift”. This will enable you to enter your email and shipping address.

How can I redeem my gift card?

Gift cards can be redeemed at checkout. Simply enter the code where you would add a discount code.

What if I can’t find my gift card number?

You can reach out to us at support@thecatspjs.com and we will help you locate the gift card number.

Do gift cards ever expire?

No, gift cards live on! We’ve been in business for 25+ years and plan to be here to honor your gift cards for at least 25 more.

Shipping

When will my order ship?

We do our best to get your orders shipped as quickly as possible. Sometimes that could be within the hour. During extremely busy times it may take us 2-3 days. Typically we’ll get it out the door within 24 hours (excluding weekends).

How can I track my order?

You can track your order with the link sent with your shipping confirmation email or by signing into your account. If you used Shop Pay you can also track your order through their app.

What if my tracking shows as canceled?

Sometimes we create new labels and it voids the previous ones. Not to worry, your order is most likely still on its way. Feel free to reach out to us at support@thecatspjs.com and we will send you the updated tracking information.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship internationally using FedEx, UPS and USPS.

Do you ship to PO boxes or APO addresses?

Yes, shipments to PO boxes and APO addresses will be shipped using USPS.

What are my shipping options?

If your order is over $100 and you reside in the US, shipping is free. You may still choose expedited shipping. We offer a subsidized 2-day shipping fee of $12.95 to try to get your items to you quickly. We also have overnight options with FedEx but please note for overnight Saturday deliveries, FedEx requires selecting Priority Overnight.

Do weekend days count in shipping times?

Shipping times are typically based on business days (that is, Monday through Friday excluding holidays). FedEx Home delivery and USPS deliver on Sunday in some areas.

Can I ship to multiple locations?

Unfortunately at this time we cannot accommodate multiple shipping addresses at checkout. You can always email us and we’d be happy to accommodate you. Or you can place an order for each address where you want to ship the items.

What payment methods do you accept?

How do I purchase a gift card?

You can use this LINK to purchase a gift card. You can also reach out to us at support@thecatspjs.com if you’d like a gift amount different from what is on the website.

Why did my discount code not work?

Some discount codes are only valid one time per customer or expire once a sale is over. Codes are typically also not stackable. So if we are running a site-wide sale, you won’t be able to add a coupon on top of those already discounted prices.

Can I use more than one promotional code on my order?

Sorry, you can only use one discount code per order.

Our Pajamas

Where are your pajamas manufactured?

Most of our pajamas are made in Peru, which is also where our Pima cotton is grown and our fabrics are woven/knitted. This reduces the carbon footprint by having everything made within a few hours of Lima. A “seed to finished garment” approach is an ecologically sound practice that we are proud to be a part of.

Are your pajamas made ethically?

Yes, the factories are clean and airy, and the workers are treated fairly and are paid a living wage. We make regular visits to the factories where our pajamas are made to meet our overseas colleagues.

Are your products sustainable?

Yes, our Luxe Pima and Flannel products are eco-certified and part of cutting edge traceability standards. Additionally, our “seed to finished garment” approach is an ecologically sound practice that we are proud to be a part of. Our partner factory has a Platinum certification from the WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accreditation Production) and the World BASC Organization. The factory is also part of the UNECE initiative to give more transparency and traceability to give sustainable rural cotton producers in Peru more visibility in the supply chain. The Cat’s Pajamas is proud to be among the first participants in a fully traceable, sustainable practices encompassing more than 5200 family farmers in the Piura region of Peru, known for making extra long fiber of pima cotton.

If an item is sold out, can I get notified when it is back in stock?

Yes, we have a “notify me” button for out of stock items. When you add your email for a waitlisted item, you’ll automatically be notified if and when it comes back in stock. If an item doesn’t have a “notify me” button it is most likely not going to be restocked. Many of our items are offered for only one season but we do have several perennial prints that are continuously stocked.

Do most of your items get re-stocked?

We have some perennials that get re-stocked. But more of our prints are offered for only one season and are not re-stocked.

What’s the difference between your fabrics?

We pride ourselves on using the most beautiful, highest quality fabrics we can obtain for our pajamas. The differences are primarily whether the yarn is woven or knitted to produce the fabric. Our Luxe Pima and Flannel are woven with 100% Pima cotton. The flannel is double-brushed, which gives it that soft, thick texture. Our Voile is also 100% cotton but it is slightly lighter in weight than our Luxe Pima because the weave is a little looser. None of these woven products have stretch in them so they are sized accordingly with a little extra room. Our Pima Knit fabrics are made of Pima cotton, Modal and Spandex. They are lusciously soft and have some stretch. They are warmer and heavier than our Luxe Pima and Voile but not as heavy as our Flannel.

How should I care for my pajamas?

It’s always a good idea to wash your pajamas inside out and in cold water. You can also hang dry them or tumble dry on low setting, which is always a good option for your busy life.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return and exchange policy?

We understand that sometimes orders don’t work out as planned. We offer FREE return shipping on all orders in the US. As long as the items have not been washed or worn and are in new condition, you may return or exchange them within 30 days. Sale items are typically marked as “Available for Exchange or Store Credit Only” and are not available for refunds. Feel free to email us at support@thecatspjs.com if you have additional questions about returns.

How do I do an exchange or return?

Our return portal can be found at returns.thecatspjs.com where you can return or exchange your order. To get started, you will need your order number (which starts with a “C”) and shipping zip code. The return process will let you identify which item(s) in the order you would like to return. If it’s just a change of size or color, that happens right in the return portal. If you want to exchange it for something else, you can click Shop Now and it will bring you to our website. The credit amount from the order will be applied to your Shop Now order in the cart.

Why does the Shop Now amount sometimes exceed the amount I paid?

If you purchase an item using a coupon code, we allow you to apply that same coupon to the new item. The Shop Now will show the original price of the item before the coupon and allow you to spend that much on your exchange.

What if my exchange is more expensive than my return?

You will have the ability to add a credit card on an exchange to pay for any items that were more expensive than your return.

When will I receive my exchange?

We offer two types of exchanges. In a standard exchange, we ship your new item when you send us back the original item. In an Instant Exchange, we ship your new item right away and place a hold on your credit card and give you 14 days to return the original item. If you don’t get your Instant Return sent back to us within 14 days, your card will be charged.

When will I receive my refund?

We offer refunds as soon as we receive your item back. But sometimes it may take the credit card company several days to issue you a credit.

Can I return my international order?

Unfortunately, we can’t create return labels on international orders. But you can send them back to us and we will ship you out an exchange or refund your purchase (excluding the cost of shipping). Please be sure to get tracking on your return. Please send them to:

Are there any final sale items?

We offer FREE exchanges or store credit even on sale items. Refunds, however, are not offered on items marked as “Available for Exchange or Store Credit Only”.
